Does crypto com app require 2FA?

So my Crypto.com app on my phone (usa user) has made it a requirement to get 2FA. Thats fine. It has been protected by a passcode until now. I clicked "enable 2fa in the app. It originally wanted the encryption code which I could not input manually because it contains an alpha numeric code and the entry pad given on crypto.com app only allows #'s.
